Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels

More Forza you're on giant Hot Wheels tracks floating in the sky? It sounds amazing and it is at first. You're doing loop-de-loops upside down at blistering speeds thousands of feet up in the air. But then you get back right into the rhythm of I MUST WIN EVERY race and you kind of lose sight of the fact that you're passing under a giant dragon or whatever because you're staring at the car in front of you or the corner of a turn to make sure you don't drift.

Shit man it's more Forza but instead let's ride on giant Hot Wheels tracks. It sounds amazing and while it is really cool, the spectacle kind of fades away pretty quickly. Now maybe that's because I just spent another 10 hours grinding away at cars and map clearing races but it's weird you just get in this headspace where you're like LET ME WIN ALL THE RACES and so you're really not focusing on how gorgeous the environments are-- and they ARE gorgeous-- at all. You're focusing on the car ahead of you, the next turn and really making sure you're gonna hit that line in the optimal way and not accidentally drift and lose the lead. So yeah in the end it's cool but not amazing.
