Untitled Goose Game is notable for portraying the mundanity of life in a small British town superbly and for making you play one of the most ruthless villains ever. Mechanically it's basically a puzzle game with some light stealth and it's engaging enough in that respect. Really, it's all the accoutrement that elevate it. The fact that everything is told with zero dialogue, only beautifully simple yet emotive animations for each character giving everything you need to know about their feelings and motivations. The mixture of the goose being an absolute asshole (making an old man fall on his ass) to just a cute little guy (when you trick the woman into putting a bow the goose). And oh that whole end sequence with the bell is such a triumphant crescendo. Then to end with you realizing the extent of the goose's villainy is spectacular. Long may the goose's reign of terror continue.
