My most memorable experiences of this game don't even involve playing it. They involve being in Ventrilo circa 2009, probably playing surf maps in Counter-Strike, and hearing friends play together. Every time they'd start a match by fervently agreeing over the mic, "No nukes." And then after 30 minutes of back and forth chatter as they're building up their Supreme-ly complicated bases, I'd hear someone go "Are you fucking kidding me?!" followed by they other two cackling over the microphone as someone inevitably "surprise nuke"d someone. Glorious.

Other than that, while the sheer complexity of managing power and shield systems and a massive unit count seemed cool, I was fundamentally someone who was bad at Starcraft. So why would I be good at this? I wasn't. Nukes are fun though.

???
Honestly my most memorable times with this game aren't even playing it. It's hearing it being played in vent when Jake would be playing against like Nima and others and someone would do a surprise nuke on them. They'd all agree on no nukes and then inevitably someone would be a troll and nuke anyway. Hilarious.

Other than that it was an entirely too complicated RTS. Seemed very cool but if I was bad at Starcraft and the like why would I be good at this? I wasn't.

I liked how it seemed like you could have a huge number of units. The power and shield systems were very cool. Yeah the nukes seemed cool too. Damn now want to replay it. Maybe I'll do the Forged Alliance expansion or whatever.
