Did someone order Hotline Miami but first person and all the depraved, sinister shit is painted over with a veneer of cheesy comedy? No? Me neither but once I hit that kick button and a giant foot popped up on the screen shooting the door forward at 100 mph instantly killing the weird purple mutant gang member dude behind it while simultaneously some bumping ass electronic music started playing, I was in. Similar to Hotline Miami you're going to spend your time murdering people, picking up their guns, shooting them with their guns, then throwing the empty guns at them. Oh and kicking. So much kicking.

The game is kept engaging through it's brisk runtime by adding new enemies, new weapons, and unlockable shoes with special power you get by finishing levels with special requirements. I will say the game for me was at its best when you just blitz through the game as quickly as possible. When I stopped to redo levels to knock out some of the challenges it was a mixed bag. Some of the challenges seemed very tightly designed into the level and fun as a result and others just felt like work. Anger Foot at its core is a game about momentum. Keep those feet moving and flying into the face of criminals and you're on the Fun Train but slow down to smell the roses and you might just wish you hadn't.
