F.E.A.R. 3

Slightly better than 2 but still far worse than 1. In this one they went for the cover shooter style that had become popular by this point. And while the shooting feels better than 2, it loses a lot of the old-school, run and gun, fast gameplay that I enjoyed of the first game.

The story is more trash. You go back to playing Point Man, the protag from the first game, but this time you're joined by the spirit of your brother, the villain you kill in the first game. They tie together the protag from the second game kind of but basically he shows up and you kill him. It's more nonsense as Alma continues to destroy the city. You're still facing off against the corpo mercs from the big company that spawned you. The ending is kind of wack in that you eventually seemingly side with Alma, your mom, to bring her newest hellspawn (which was conceived from literally raping the protag of the second game (WILD)) into the world and just are kind of cool with it. As per usual there are literally no comprehensible motives for any of the characters. Only slow-mo shooting.

Yeah dude kind of a mess but kind of fun. Not really worth anyone's time.
