Absolute Slavcore. Everything exhudes, shimmers, sweats atmosphere. The dour ethereal music. The unsettling, haunting, and occasionally beautiful character art. The writing that's mostly boring, matter-of-fact writing that captures the day-to-day life of a depressed person confined to their house in the apocalypse. And yet occasionally descends into the deeply philosophical and all the while heightens the ever-pervasive sense of foreboding. It is a tour-de-force of da vibe.
Mechanically you're just making small decisions each day based on whether you think the various freaks coming to visit you are regular freaks (cool) or ultra freaks (deadly). But even that is a nice guessing game of understanding the simple yet evolving rules and whether your gut instincts are correct. And it turns out that's all you need to make a great game.
