Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide
Review
I would really just refer to my review for Neverwinter Nights for this one for combat and all things.
The things that set this one apart are the plot, the characters, and the combat.
The combat is basically the same except it seems like they expect you to have a much lower level character. What this means is I was able to faceroll the combat across the board with my super well equipped level 17 fighter. This was a boon because this was the least favorite part of the game for me.
The second part is the plot. It's nice and self contained. I really enjoyed the first act. You have to chase down these kobolds all over this one region. Of particular note is meeting a white dragon who leads the kobolds and working with him to take out the sorceress who tried to get him to do her busywork.
That dragon leads to my favorite character in the game: Deekin. He's a kobold bard and he's so CUTE. He's so nice and a little dim. But has such a good heart. I loved helping him and I was legitimately overjoyed when I found out he could join your party. The fact that he sticks with you in this game AND THEN RETURNS IN THE NEXT EXPANSION is so great. He's a delight and the game's main saving grace.
