I adore Black & White so I am the easiest rube on the planet to trick into giving you money if you whisper the hallowed words of "god game". And if those words come from Peter Molyneux in 2012 during the Kickstarter gold rush then I am properly cooked. Needless to say they shipped something I'd barely even characterize as a game, nevermind a god game. More akin to something you'd find on Newgrounds circa 2006, play around with for 10 minutes, and then never touch again. It felt like a level editor while you're still in editing-mode, a slab of bland nothingness with no gameplay. Needless to say I never returned.
I am nothing if not a benevolent deity however as I still forgive ol' Molyneux his transgressions. He generated truly godlike levels of goodwill through Black & White and Fable. He's quite clearly just a guy who gets a little too excited when he's promoting his work as he admits on Simon Parkin's podcast. Anyone who believes he's a malicious manipulator or should be burned at the stake is too cynical to be worth listening to anyway.
That being said, after Godus even I can't get excited for Masters of Albion. Wish ya the best Molyneux!
