Accompany Goku has he beats the shit out of Krillin and other enemies with his fists, a staff, and, really let’s be honest: Kamehameha spam. This shit rules. It's a lean, mean beat'em'up machine due to the mixture of beautiful art and really nice feedback when you land a blow. Getting that jump shot beam blast to land on a cyborg's head...ah so good.

What dampens the otherwise breezy, fun, advanced adventure is a mixture of some absurdly repetitive and labyrinthian levels and the 1v1 battles I couldn’t delineate between each other. Why am I fighting Master Roshi the same way I fight Tien the same way I fight King Piccolo? Dunno man but it'll be over in 2 minutes just like all the other ones after I cheese 'em with my Kamehameha.

Minor quibbles aside this is a true GBA all-star that I would have lapped up voraciously as a kid (if I had only known about it).
