Anno 1404

I honestly played this game for maybe an hour. I think it needs a tutorial. But honestly you could probably muddle through it without.

In the end I bailed because Anno 1800 just feels like a better version of the game. This one is kind of obtuse. It's hard to keep track of how things are doing in your economy. The keybindings are wack as fuck making it hard to just navigate around. UI is dated and also obtuse. It's hard to find things. You want to change the speed up the game but it doesn't work unless you hold button? Unless you pull up a sub menu hidden somewhere that sits at the bottom of the screen taking up like 10% of screen real estate.

Almost all these complaints wouldn't really be complaints if I was playing the game back when it came out. But I didn't. We have better games that do things better. Without nostalgia it's not really worth a play in my mind.
