I think I repressed the memory that Drew Carey was in this game for twenty years until today. What's perhaps crazier than the fact that Drew Carey is in The Sims: House Party (the first ever cameo in the series) is that he featured The Sims not once but twice in his show. Kids, the early 2000s were a different time.
Ah but the game itself. It's fine. Most of what it introduces revolved around uh house parties. But parties aren't a thing you're really doing constantly in the game anyway. What you're then left with is some Western, tiki, and rave themed stuff, none of which particularly resonated with my aesthetic sensibilities as a 9 year old. But then, we'll always have Drew Carey.
