Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Review
Two reasons to play this game: 1) it captures the whole DBZ saga and you want to (re)live the story and 2) it's the closest a game has come to making you feel like a badass saiyan. The combat is super fun. The thrill of learning new moves and testing out your newfound powers is incredible. I think this is the most noticeable when you get the DLC that allows you to level to unparalleled strength in a short time. You really feel like how OP a saiyan would really be.
Now those are the strengths. As for the weaknesses...the entire rest of the game. There's this whole "open world RPG" thing and it kind of blows. All the side quests are fetch quests. There's stupid collecting and grinding with dubious rewards for your invested time. Flying around the map is kind of cool for all of 2 minutes and then it's just a drag.
But honestly going through the plot and wooping ass as a saiyan makes it all worth it in my book.
Oh and honestly the animations are fantaaaastic. It's gorgeous unleashing hell on enemies.
Spamming Kamemeha and Spirit Bomb never gets old.
