Hellgate: London
Review
If I recall I pirated this game and so it was very buggy to try and play online. Or maybe I did actually buy it. Either way I don't think I stuck around too long. I think I played till I was level 20, played too different classes and then got kind of bored. Maybe because it was buggy, maybe because it was repetitive, but most likely because I didn't play with friends.
It is crazy to look back at this game because it was the first time someone tried to combine Diablo with a shooter. Of course later on Borderlands would do this to great effect and success later on but this was the first go. And honestly I prefer the style and theme of this one over Borderlands. Hell being opened on London with you being a gunner with special weird hellish powers is very cool.
Honestly I wouldn't mind trying to go back and play this game but since they went bankrupt and sold the rights to the game and turned it to free to play (according to Wikipedia as of the time of writing this), it's likely impossible that I could ever go back and play it.
