Mass Effect: Andromeda
Review
If I recall this game got shit on a whole bunch when it came out. But, you know, after playing it, it ain't half bad.
It had some cool new lore and species, the Angaran and the Kett. I enjoyed the new characters, they were very nice. I always love a good korgan like Dreck.
Gameplay-wise I'd say the shooting was better than Mass Effect 3 but still kind of bleh. I turned it down to Casual difficulty almost immediately and that made life a lot better as I could kind of just stroll through combat wrecking shit.
The rest of the combat is exploring fairly bland open world planets. The game is gorgeous but all the quests and the driving around are often rote and fairly banal. Go get some rocks. Go drive here and talk to this guy to get his relic. Blah blah blah.
Overall I liked exploring the new planets and learning the new plot and enjoyed meeting the new characters. I think a sequel would honestly prolly be a big opportunity to tighten everything up. Just make every planet interesting and I'm SO down.
Still pissed I missed the option to romance Suvi. In my headcanon that's the waifu for sure.
