Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All

My biggest complaint with the original Phoenix Wright was you'd end up in situations where you have a prompt like "How was Bingus McDingus knocked unconscious?" and you'll have options for evidence of like A) the club they were hit with, B) an affadavit from the hospital about their injuries, or C) a picture of Bingus McDingus. So you go "Well, it's got to be the club" WRONG it was actually the picture of McDingus. And the Edgeworth and the Judge sneer at you and you lose one of your health bar things. You do that a couple of times and you just have to repeat the whole section again. You're punished because of either ambiguity in the game or your own ignoramusness (prolly me most of the time). But either way it's ass. And guess what? In the Switch collection you can save at literally any moment. That's right we're save-scumming, gang! And that alone made me like this way more than the original Phoenix Wright.
Which is funny because apparently people dunk on this one a bit for being the worst of the trilogy? Or definitely Berry Big Top but weirdly in my notes I wrote down that it "ruled" and was "really fun to unravel". So, hey, maybe I'm the peanut gallery over here but I had a good time. The magatama is a nice touch to break up the formula a bit. You got Pearl Faye who I like way better than Maya. You got a little bit of fan service with the ending. But yeah sure if I put on my critical hat you got some annoying witnesses (e.g. Why on earth would they bring back Oldbag?), you have the reallllly weird Mia-in-Pearl-Faye's-body bit--I mean like really that's so uncomfortable--, and weaker music.
But you know what? If this is the low point then I'm stoked to keep on trucking.
