Halo: Reach

Played this one in a single sitting coop with Sam. Terrific game. Only about 5 hours long on Normal difficulty. It regularly mixes things up. Good level design. Amazing set pieces in the background like swarms of banshees and warthogs duking it out. Some amazing moments of pathos like Noble 6 cresting a hill to discover the destruction of a city by the Covenant. Other scenes like ships in space shooting down on stations. My favorite is probably when George pushes you out of the ship in space and then tears a hole in the Covenant massive ship in space with like a black hole almost. The whole thing is shown from the perspective of satellites and you falling through space and it’s amazing. The end is also cool, you holding off wave after wave of Covenant and then ultimately dying on Reach.

Yeah overall a great romp and a cool look at the events that proceeded Halo.
