Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

I remember this game being really cool at first. Very suspenseful and scary. And then you hit a portion right in the beginning where you are stuck in a hotel room and need to get out. They acted like the game was very realistic like there were so many things you could do to get out but in reality it was a heavily scripted sequence of events you had to follow exactly or you lost. I couldn't figure it out over and over and it completely ruined the suspense and terror. I ended up turning on the cheats and just I think like no clipping slash invuln running through the game and breaking everything because I wasn't properly triggering their dumb scripted events.
