Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda

A mashup of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer has no right being as good as it is. Sure the depth and mastery of Crypt has been sanded away to the point I was scratching my head as to why this still had roguelike elements. And if you're going in looking for challenging puzzles and combat you're barking up the wrong Deku Tree. But the joyous remixes of Zelda classics mixed with the gorgeous visual pastiche of Zelda's world quickly allay any deeper concerns I had. I am tapping along to a funky jazz remix of the Song of Storms solving yet another simple puzzle after handily smashing up some Moblins and I am having fun. 2D Hyrule rules and Cadence of Hyrule is a celebration of that fact.
