Review

I thought I had finished this back in the day when it came out but again I found as I was playing it that I really didn't remember much of it at all. I think I probably got half way through.

This is the one where you're escaping the tower

Anyway, I was really surprised how fun this was. It's honestly much better than Half-Life 2. Half-Life 2 had a lot of repetition and a lot of shitty vehicle sections. This is much, much tighter and less monotonous. As a whole the gameplay varies so much between every 30 minutes that it's truly a blast to play. First you're escaping the tower, then you're fighting through the city with other survivors who join your party, then you're fighting the big long-leg boys, then you're escorting people to get on trains to safety out of the city. There's new mechanics and areas being introduced constantly and outside of the final boss battle which was tedious it was great.

Plus they keep adding more to the plot/lore by introducing the weird combine larva boys that seem to be controlling everything.
