Lords of the Fallen (2014)
Review
I actually really enjoyed this game. Gritty knock off of Dark Souls. Kind of a Gears of War vibe. It was one of the first souls like that was really solid and I just enjoyed it. Wasn't spectacular in any way.

I actually had a good time with this Dark Souls clone, one of the first of many that would come out. Sure it wasn't as tight as FromSoft's games but it was still a fun romp. Apparently I played a Rogue because this game has classes or archtypes. I think I basically did that because for me FromSoft games are roll'em'ups where I just dodge every boss move instead of playing a tankboy. That all being said I really don't remember much about the game. Looking at reviews to refresh my memory the lack of a map definitely sounds true. Really having to learn the map because there's absolutely no map to help you. Akin to Demon's Souls in that regard actually. And yeah I don't remember it being that challenging to be honest. I think I banged my head on The Judge or one of the other last bosses but otherwise it was mostly smooth sailing. I think the banking XP thing is a good idea too.
Actually excited for the sequel because it looks gorgeous. And if it's anything like this one it will be a solid 7/10."
